Cadillac built its reputation on plush, quiet, effortless luxury — and the Lyriq is proof that reputation translates seamlessly into the electric era. Now in its fourth model year, the Cadillac Lyriq has grown from a bold first EV experiment into one of the most compelling luxury electric SUVs on the market. If you’re cross-shopping electric SUVs and wondering whether the Lyriq deserves a spot on your test-drive list, here’s a complete breakdown of pricing, range, performance, and what actually makes this Cadillac stand out.

    What Is the Cadillac Lyriq?

The Lyriq is Cadillac’s midsize, two-row electric SUV and the brand’s flagship statement in the EV space. It seats five, competes with vehicles like the Genesis Electrified GV70, BMW iX, and Audi Q6 e-tron, and leans hard into what Cadillac has always done best: a serene ride, a hushed cabin, and understated styling instead of flashy gimmicks.

For 2026, Cadillac reshuffled the Lyriq lineup with cleaner trim naming, a new sound system, and — for the first time — a genuinely quick performance variant in the Lyriq-V.

    2026 Cadillac Lyriq Price

Pricing starts reasonably for the segment and climbs with battery configuration and trim level:

    • Luxury (RWD): starts around $60,700–$61,000
    • Sport (RWD): starts around $61,200–$61,500
    • Premium Luxury / Premium Sport: roughly $4,000 more than base trims
    • Signature Luxury / Signature Sport: starting around $69,300–$70,100
    • Lyriq-V (AWD only): starting around $78,600–$80,000
    • Lyriq-V Premium: starting around $83,800–$85,300

All-wheel drive adds roughly $3,500 across non-V trims. Shoppers are currently paying slightly below MSRP on average, so there’s some room to negotiate at the dealership.

    Range and Battery

The Lyriq is built on GM’s Ultium platform with a 102-kWh battery pack, and range varies depending on drivetrain:

    • RWD models: up to roughly 326 miles of EPA-estimated range
    • AWD models: up to roughly 303–319 miles, depending on trim and wheel size

That RWD range figure is genuinely competitive in the luxury EV class, and real-world testing has generally backed up Cadillac’s numbers, with the Lyriq holding its charge well outside of extreme temperatures.

    Charging

Despite GM’s broader shift to the Tesla-style NACS charging standard, the 2026 Lyriq still ships with a CCS port standard, with a NACS DC fast-charging adapter available for $275. On a DC fast charger, Cadillac estimates a 10–80% charge in about 40 minutes, which is in line with most rivals in this segment.

    Performance

Every Lyriq starts as a single-motor RWD vehicle putting out 365 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque — plenty for confident daily driving. Step up to the dual-motor AWD setup and output jumps to 515 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque, with a maximum tow rating of 3,500 pounds.

The real headline is the new Lyriq-V, Cadillac’s first electric V-Series model. With its Velocity Max mode engaged, the Lyriq-V is the quickest Cadillac ever built, capable of sprinting from 0-60 mph in roughly 3.3 seconds. That’s supercar-adjacent acceleration wrapped in a comfortable, five-seat luxury SUV.

    Interior and Technology

Cadillac’s design team clearly prioritized calm over clutter. Highlights of the Lyriq’s cabin include:

    • A sweeping 33-inch curved LED display spanning the driver and infotainment screens
    • A panoramic fixed-glass roof
    • Available massaging, heated, and cooled seats
    • Standard hands-free Super Cruise driver-assist technology
    • An available AKG premium audio system, upgraded for 2026
    • Ambient interior lighting and Cadillac’s signature Galvano Chrome trim

Rear legroom checks in at a generous 39.6 inches, making the Lyriq comfortable for adult passengers on longer trips — not just a token backseat for kids and groceries.

Should You Buy a Cadillac Lyriq?

The Lyriq isn’t chasing the biggest range number or the flashiest tech gimmick on the market. Instead, it leans into what Cadillac calls its own lane: a quiet, composed, genuinely luxurious ride wrapped around a well-sorted EV powertrain. If your priority is comfort, a hushed cabin, and dependable daily range without overspending on the segment’s priciest options, the Lyriq is one of the strongest values in the luxury electric SUV class. Buyers who want outright thrills should look at the Lyriq-V, which adds genuine performance credibility without sacrificing the comfort that defines the rest of the lineup.

Bottom line: The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq proves that a luxury EV doesn’t need to overwhelm you with buttons and gimmicks to feel premium. It’s calm, confident, and — especially in RWD form — one of the smartest luxury EV purchases you can make this year.
